Playblast Nuke 3D workspace with RV

Hey Guys and Girls.

I'm finding myself wanting to do playblasts (maya term) of the 3D workspace in Nuke, that is to say I don't want to run the scene through a scanline renderer but rather take what is in the viewer and flip it to RV. Doesn't seem like there is a Foundry solution to do this natively through Nuke, but wondering if there could be a way to do this through RV through some clever python-aree.
