Permission-Configurable Site Preferences

Items such as the auto suggestion popups should be able to be set per-permission group; so that things like disabled status HumanUsers can be hidden from auto-populating on the majority of users.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion! The use case you've describe is actually already possible (to a degree) through your Site Preferences. Navigate to that page, then the Advanced section. Find the entry called "Autocomplete Omit Statuses."

You can use this to exclude certain entity records with a particular status from autocomplete results. Right now this is a site-wide setting, so it can't yet be configured on a per-Project basis, or per-permission group basis, but hopefully it can cover some of your needs for the time being.

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks, but the heart of this request is the per-permission group ( or per-user ).  This feature came about due to the inability to specify on a per-permission group basis (or per-user basis would work fine too) of the site preferences you have just mentioned.

Specifically we would love to remove disable status HumanUsers for all but a few people who require these users for input on a regular basis.

One alternate implementation; requiring no UI changes (except a description on the field) would be to include a new syntax to tie a rule to a permission group.

Currently you use <entity>: but potentially add another item for permission rule,
    ie:
    Artist@HumanUser:dis, ...

(@ being a delimiter of your choosing that is ideally disallowed from Entity type, Status code, and Permission Group name.)
