Indicator on 'My Notes' link in left nav when new notes are available

We'd love it if under 'My Notes' there was something like 'My Notes (2)' when you have two unread notes.

  We have this on our list. Right now there's some performance concern with implementing it but we have some other related items on our todo list that will hopefully make this easier to do.
