Ability to actually delete db and file data from a server

We'd like to be able to clean up the instance, more than just retiring data. Our unit tests for example lead to some serious bloat in our test instance which only gets cleaned out between upgrades now.

Yes please.  I can't tell you how many times I have had to wrestle with retired pages just to have to unretire some test entry, rename it then re-retire it.  It's a pain in the butt.  If your absolutely concerned with users not deleting entries only retiring them.  Maybe make the function to remove items from the database only accessible from the retired pages.

This is on our list for sure. We'll need to build this in a smart way to make sure that anything that is cross-linked in global context doesn't break. We'll also be looking at a way to archive the files stored on the server too. Stay tuned...

Whats the status of this one?

I would love to be able to clean up everything and start from a clean slate. Our install there is bit of a mess as it is now.

It's still on our list and gaining popularity.  The more use-cases we have the better, so let us know how you'd ideally like to archive your data (what format, what traces if any would be left in your system, etc) and we'll add those ideas to the list.  In the meantime, I'm going to try to get some estimates from the developers to see where it'll fit in our roadmap.
